I don't coupon as much anymore as it's quite time consuming and I don't have access to a printer like I did in the past. Coupled with clipping coupons, I followed deal sites for some great bargain scenarios. It really did save me some money and I was able to do some great gift shopping that way. There are some great discounts to be had on needed household articles and groceries as well. Then there are great deals on some maybe not so "needed" items - like a bag of roaches.
Where this deal popped up - I don't remember. And it's certainly not one that I can say that I really needed. BUT, it cost me something like 89 cents, and I think I've gotten my money's worth with it.
They are rubber. Just in case you're wondering. But they certainly look life-like. And when an unsuspecting person, perhaps your boss or husband, happens across one, just out of the blue, somehow, they look like the real thing! And the tone for the day just changes!
I first received these in the mail at work. Because they shipped on a slow boat from China, I'd forgotten I'd ordered them. When I opened the package, I quickly dropped the package on the floor with a start! Okay, it was more of a "threw it on the floor" reaction...Oh yeah, I ordered rubber roaches - but I'd forgotten and gave myself a start! Funny thing about that - I'd read other people's reviews about these and laughed at their silliness at doing the same thing! Karma...
So, I decided to sort of leave a couple of these on the frozen dinners my boss kept in the freezer at work. THAT was not as well received as intended! Come to find out, she sort of has this thing about roaches...
The kids took this a whole lot better. They had a great time with them and then, of course, they were being left all over the house. The husband didn't adapt as well as they had - he's evidently got a thing about them, too. And spiders. Someone was not raised in the country - I can tell...
Have you ever spread a little practical joke magic? Or splurged on an almost totally useless purchase?
